EDSTMA ends double parking on adjourning roads in Benin City

Most roads across Benin metropolis have been notable for gridlock. Adjourning roads across Forestry and Igun have been at the receiving end of traffic congestion with vehicles parked on both sides of the road. This is why the Edo State Traffic Control and Management Agency (EDSTMA) is not relenting in carrying out its responsibility in ensuring that the roads are clear at all time so as to enable easy access. The Director of the Agency says the agency has sensitize motorists and traders at all locations without a median on the lane to park their vehicles to avoid towing of their vehicles.(The right or left depending on where you are driving from) He called the exercise a 'mop-up' exercise. From some road users, it is time to heave a sigh of relief as the constant gridlock at those areas have been a source of worry to them, adding that motorists can now use adjourning roads around Igun and Forestry when main roads are blocked. EDSTMA say they will continue the exercise round
